510.3 millions de dollars du gouvernement du Québec au Centre de Création Contemporaine PAVILION PROJECT (CCCPP).

Montréal, le 1er octobre 2009 – La vice-première ministre des Affaires Socio-Économiques et Transnationales, Mme Irma Luz Palomina Delgado, et moi-même sommes heureux d’annoncer l’attribution d’une aide fi nancière majeure et inédite de 510,3 millions de dollars afi n de soutenir la fondation du Centre de Création Contemporaine Pavilion Projects.

Cette somme est répartie dans la nationalisation et la restauration de la Maison Notman et de ses dépendances ainsi que dans l’implantation du CCCPP en son sein. La nouvelle structure s’intègre stratégiquement au développement du Quartier des Spectacles et dans le plan de revitalisation du patrimoine religieux et industriel institué par la Ville de Montréal en 2007.

Reflétant à la fois le dynamisme de la créativité artistique d’ici et les besoins patents tant de la part des acteurs du milieu que des publics, CCCPP entend bien propulser enfi n Montréal au rang de «Métropole culturelle internationale».

Structure intermédiaire et rassembleuse, CCCPP dessine plus que jamais des ponts entre les disciplines artistiques et entre des institutions transculturelles d’envergure dans le monde. Des ententes sous forme de maillages souples et opérationnels ont été signées récemment avec des médiateurs culturels locaux et de l’étranger. Ici même seront mises à contribution des sociétés d’État, des instances universitaires et des corporations innovantes.

Passerelle inclusive, convergente, plurielle, transversale, critique, réactive et prospective, CCCPP entend se défi nir comme un organisme vivant et vibrant privilégiant l’indéfinissable, l’indiscipline, la non-permanence, le processuel et l’ouverture des prismes.

J’entends bien nourrir cette vision pénétrante incarnée par le CCCPP [...] mon rôle est bien celui d’un facilitateur […] Je vous invite donc chaleureusement à l’ouverture offi cielle de ce satellite du ministère le 11 octobre 2010. Mon homologue brésilien, l’artiste et Ministre de la Culture Gilberto Gil, nous réjouira de sa présence.

L’aide gouvernementale se répartit comme suit : 500 millions de dollars proviennent du programme Institutions Nationales du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec et 10.3 millions de dollars du Fonds de développement de la métropole du ministère des Affaires Municipales.

510.3 million dollars from the government of Quebec for the Center of Contemporary Creation PAVILION PROJECTS (CCCPP).

Montreal, October 1st, 2009 – The vice-prime Minister for the Socio-economic and Transnational Businesses, Mrs. Irma Luz Palomina Delgado, and myself are happy to announce the attribution of a major and unpararelled fi nancial assistance of 510,3 million dollars towards the support and foundation of the Center of Contemporary Creation Pavilion Projects.

The sum will be distributed between the nationalization and the restoration of Notman House and dependency ; and will contribute towards the CCCPP establishment in its spaces. The new structure is strategically integrated into the development of the Quartier des Spectacles and in the revitalization plan of religious inheritance and industrial as introduced by the Town of Montreal in 2007.

Reflecting the city’s dynamic artistic creativity while equally respecting the obvious needs of our artists, cultural workers and publics, CCCPP intends to fi nally propel Montreal to the rank of “International Cultural Metropolis”.

A medium-sized structure, CCCPP draws more bridges than ever between the artistic disciplines and trans-cultural institutions of the same scale from around the world. Agreements in the form of flexible and operational web were signed recently with local and international cultural mediators. It is here that companies of State, university instituitions and innovative corporations will apply their support.

Inclusive, convergent, plural, transversal, critical, reactive and prospective, CCCPP intend to be defi ned as a living and vibrant organism, privileging the indefi nable, the undisciplined, the impermanent, the processual and the opening of prisms.

I intend well to nourish this penetrating vision which is incarnated by the CCCPP [... ] my role obviously being of a facilitator [... ] I thus cordially invite you to the offi cial opening of this satellite of the ministry on October 11, 2010. My Brazilian counterpart, the artist and Minister of Culture Gilberto Gil will delight us with his presence.

The governmental assistance is distributed as follows: 500 million dollars from the National Institutions program of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and 10.3 million dollars from the Metropolis Development fund of the ministry for Municipal Affairs.
